COMMODORES

Formed in 1961 by students attending General Douglas MacArthur HS, Levittown NY.

This blog is an attempt to bring the members of the Commodores back together via a virtual reunion. A volunteer(s) is needed to organize a real reunion. Blogger: John McCormick, johnmc03301@yahoo.com

David Peppis

Forty+ years--are you kidding me? John Mac-what took you so long to put this together?

I graduated Plymouth State College in New Hampshire in 1970 (so it took me a few extra years). I worked in the garment center for 15 years (Wrangler, Jordace, and Calvin Klein). I then went into a family business, collateral loan broker (fancy name for a pawn shop).

I divorced after 16 years of marriage, and have 2 great kids and 1 grandchild. I am currently in a long term relationship of 14 years (life is great).

I stayed best friends with Dave Vittor over the years. It would be great to see you all soon.

David Vittor

Hello Fellow Commodores!

Can you believe David Vittor wound up living in Kansas! Let me recount how this all happened.

Graduated SUNY Cortland
Elmont High School - taught History and coached J.V. Lacrosse
Aug. 1968 Joined Joseph E. Seagrams
Jan. 1972 - present Major Brands, Inc. - Kansas City, MO

I have been associated with Major Brands since 1972. The Company is the leading Beverage Alcohol Distributor in the State of Missouri. In 1988 I became a partner. Hard to believe I am in my 35th year with a Company based in Kansas City, MO.

I married a local girl, Ellice. We have three children: Andy - 26, Evan - 23, and Brooke - 18, who will be a freshman this fall at NYU.

I look forward to a Commodore Reunion. By the way, my Commodore jacket is in “mint” condition. It just doesn’t fit the way it used to!
